The Laboratory collaborates with the HPEA in a variety of activities such as Lifelong Education Programs (e.g. Acupuncture Program, etc.), seminars, workshops, and clinical education.
The laboratory and its members participate in the research, academic and clinical activities of the Pain Clinic of the Aretaios University Hospital, with the voluntary contribution of its members to the particular counter-issue of Pain Management. Through their voluntary contribution, the members of the laboratory offer their specialized services on the physiotherapeutic management of painful musculoskeletal problems. The Laboratory’s contribution to both UNIWA and NSCA students, fellow physicians and other health professionals, as well as to patients and the community, is so important that the Pain Clinic supports the provision of Physiotherapy services in collaboration with the EMF Laboratory.
The cooperation of the EMF with the 1st Anesthesiology Clinic of the Athens University of Athens concerns both the MSc of the Clinic on the subject of algology and the conduction of research studies either for the completion of postgraduate theses or doctoral dissertations.
The collaboration between the EMF and the Anatomy Department of the Medical School of the Athens University of Athens concerns both the Lifelong Programs that the two Laboratories participate in, as well as events, workshops and live workshops organized in the field of myoskeletal anatomy with the aim of thoroughly educating students.
Research – academic and educational cooperation with the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the fields of medical therapeutic practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (from October 2017 to date)
On October 28, 2017, during the opening ceremony of the 14th China – Shanghai International Symposium on Qigong Science (Oct. 27-29, 2017), the opening ceremony of the 14th China – Shanghai International Symposium on Qigong Science (Oct. 2017) which was attended by more than 200 professors and researchers from China, America, Japan, France, Germany, Greece, Serbia, Singapore and Taiwan, Professor George Georgoudis, in his capacity as Director of the Laboratory and academic supervisor of the Postgraduate Seminar on Acupuncture of IDBE, signed a cooperation agreement with Professor Li Jie Ph.D, Director Shanghai Qigong Research Institute of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, signed a cooperation agreement with Professor Li Jie Ph.D., Director Shanghai Qigong Research Institute of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Since then, a memorandum of cooperation has been signed with the rectors of the two universities, creating a model clinic, the Greek TaiJi Health Center within UNIWA. In the Greek TaiJi Health Center a combined approach to patients is applied with Traditional Chinese Medicine methods and modern techniques applied in Western culture, while it also functions as a model (lege artis) training center in this field.
