Associate Professor
Andreas Mavrogenis, Orthopaedic Surgeon, was born in Athens in 1971.
He studied Medicine at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and obtained his Orthopaedic specialty at the 1st Orthopaedic University Clinic, KAT Hospital (Professor P. N. Soukakakos).
He was a clinical associate and a paid attending for 2 years at the Orthopaedic Oncology Clinic at Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli, Bologna, Italy (Professor Mario Mercuri).
Currently, he is Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at the 1st Orthopaedic University Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Attikon Hospital.
He holds two PhD theses: in microsurgery (School of Medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and in biospectroscopy (School of Radiation Chemistry and Biospectroscopy, National Technical University of Athens).
He is a member of 9 Greek and International Medical Committees (including EEXOT, KEOX, EEMMO, ISOLS and EMSOS), member of the editorial board of 8 Greek and International Medical Journals (including ORTHOPEDICS, JARTHROPLASTY, INTERNATIONAL ORTHOPAEDICS, EUROPEAN JOURNAL OF ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY AND TRAUMATOLOGY, WORLD JOURNAL OF ORTHOPAEDICS, WORLD JOURNAL OF RADIOLOGY), member of the Review Committee of more than 30 International Medical Journals, and trainer in ATLS since 2014.
He has participated in more than 180 conferences in Greece and abroad, and has been a member of the organizing committee in 38, and an invited speaker in 71 of these conferences. He has presented more than 200 free papers in International conferences in Greece and abroad and has contributed to the writing of 13 chapters in Greek and 15 chapters in International Medical Books.
He has participated in more than 280 foreign language publications in SCI International Medical Journals.
