Mr. Raptis Kon/nos is an Orthopaedic Surgeon, a graduate of the Military Medical School (SMAS). He received his specialization at the 1st Orthopaedic Clinic of the KAT Hospital in the fields of traumatology and reconstructive surgery of large joints (hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty and shoulder arthroplasty). His special training for two years was in Shoulder and Limb Surgery at the Limb & Microsurgery Clinic of the KAT Hospital, while he is still actively involved in research projects and clinical protocols in the field of Upper Extremity Surgery.

He carried out his postgraduate training in Shoulder Surgery in France at the Paris Shoulder Unit Centre, where he had the honour to work alongside the internationally renowned Surgeon Prof. Philippe Valenti. He was a member of his surgical team focusing on innovative minimally invasive techniques in the treatment of the whole spectrum of shoulder conditions (arthroscopic reconstruction, shoulder arthroplasty, tendon transfers). He then continued his training as a clinical fellow at renowned centres in Germany, Switzerland and the UK.

He holds a PhD from the Athens Medical School with the research study “Effect of vitamin D on the healing process of fractures of the peripheral edge of the radius” and holds the MSc in Bone Metabolic Disease from the Athens Medical School, as an official specialization in the field of Osteoporosis.

He holds the international certifications of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) in the fields of Emergency Medicine and immediate treatment of multi-trauma patients (ATLS, PHTLS, BLS). In addition to his clinical work, he maintains a rich scientific activity, has published numerous scientific articles in prestigious scientific journals, has presented papers at major national and international conferences and participates as a scientific teaching staff to medical students of the European University Cyprus.
